Why Investing in Graduate Talent Matters More Than Ever in the Age of AI

Our Ingrity Talent Program Graduates, Batch 10

As we complete Batch 10 of the Ingrity Talent Program, I’ve been reflecting on just how important initiatives like this have become.

In a world where AI is rapidly changing the workforce and creating understandable uncertainty around the future of jobs, we believe businesses also have a responsibility to help prepare the next generation, not fear the future, but build capability for it.

Over the past 10 batches, we’ve had the privilege of helping 125 graduates bridge the gap between university learning and real world data and AI capability. The feedback from this latest group reinforced exactly why this matters. Below we share some key insights from our latest intake group:

Sahil shared that concepts covered over weeks at university were tackled in a single day, pushing participants to stay sharp and think differently.

Quynh spoke about how much more confident she now feels in SQL and Power BI after the intensity and practical nature of the program.

Ajay, who came from a non-technical background, highlighted how the hands on approach helped build his confidence and capability in data tools.

Chi reflected on how the program not only developed technical skills, but also taught a new way of thinking and problem solving.

Binoo noted that the practical learning delivered in two weeks exceeded much of what is traditionally covered across a university semester.

What stood out most across all the feedback was not just the technical growth, but the confidence, resilience and adaptability being developed along the way.

THE INGRITY DATA WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

Where curiosity meets opportunity.

At Ingrity, we believe data is more than the backbone of modern business – it’s a force for community good and a launchpad for young minds. Our Data Work Experience Program is designed specifically for Year 10 students at the moment they begin choosing their senior subjects, helping them understand the possibilities of a future in data, AI and digital transformation. With STEM participation declining across Australia, we see this program as a vital opportunity to open doors, broaden horizons and highlight the real world relevance of data careers in an AI driven world.

Across an immersive week, students are guided by our specialist consultants and paired with recent Talent Program graduates who are only a few years ahead in their own career journeys. This peer to peer model gives students relatable mentors who inspire confidence, connection and a genuine sense of what working in data looks like today. Through hands on learning, real datasets and opportunities to present their own insights, students experience the creative, analytical and problem-solving sides of data, often for the first time.

Our goal is simple: to be a lighthouse for the next generation, helping young people imagine what’s possible and giving them the confidence to pursue pathways that are future proof, meaningful and full of opportunity.
